Plan Your Day
Whether your group arrives here for a full day visit, or a morning or afternoon stop off, we offer the perfect day out.
Alongside the historic and iconic caves at Cheddar Gorge there are a number of other attractions your guests can experience; and they’re all included in the group day ticket.
Audio and Walking Tours of Gough’s Cave
To add depth and clarity to your groups’ experience with us at Cheddar, we invite you to take a walk through Gough’s Cave. This will give your group the opportunity to truly immerse themselves in the magnificent and unique caverns. Audio guides are available in a number of languages.

Cox' Cave featuring Yeo's Journey: The Power of Water
Discover the story of how our iconic caves were formed and evolved through the 'Power of Water'. Journey through Cox’s Cave with your virtual guide, 'Yeo', as you explore how the caves formed over millions of years. Brought to life with stunning sound, light, and animation projected onto the cave walls, this UK-first immersive show celebrates one of Britain’s great natural wonders.

The Museum of Prehistory
The historical reputation of Cheddar Gorge and Caves has led to the development of the Museum of Prehistory. Working alongside archaeologists and anthropologists, a story has been told of the Cheddar Man, ancient customs, and ways of life dating back to the Ice Age, and beyond.

Jacob’s Ladder and Lookout Tower
274 steps stand between you and a stunning 360° view of the picturesque Mendip Hills. To the South you will see lush water meadows for miles, and to the north, the breath-taking plateaus of Somerset’s rolling countryside.
